I posted yesterday but I’m back because after playing for a few hours after watching your video last night I was overwhelmed. It finally made sense to me. I can’t believe nobody told me this before all those years I spent noodling around hoping I’d find some pattern or secret. Once I understood the triads I applied them all over the neck and now I can play anywhere in any key anytime no matter what chords are going on I know where to go. Let me tell you that knowing where to go from your lesson is the greatest thing I ever learned on guitar. Triads. Once you learn them you will get it. Watch this video 10 times if you have to once it makes sense you’re going to kick yourself in the butt and want back all those years you spent trying to figure things out.

Great stuff. The CAGED system is so good, lots of things to use it for. The idea of a I IV V progression is gold. It's in everything. Gospel, blues, so many things. Learn these chords in every key, you won't be sorry
