Roadside drug checkpoints—banned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2000 as unconstitutional. But if you think that stopped the police, think again. They got creative. As a former prosecutor turned People’s Lawyer, I’m revealing 5 ways cops use FAKE checkpoints to pull you over, and how these sneaky tactics could land you in serious trouble.

Nervous about an encounter with the police? I f**king wonder why anyone would be nervous around them with all the accounts of extrajudicial killings, police brutality, sexual harassment, rape, murder, entrapment, planting evidence, psychological bullying and torture, why would anyone want to AVOID them? Just your friendly neighborhood LEO, just DOING THEIR JOB.
Absolutely no one who has any knowledge about what police actually do in this country, as well as knowing their Bill of Rights, would ever talk to the Police without an Attorney present.

Police legally lie all day long. Why did I exit? "I had to piss. Am I free to go?"

I turned around once when I saw a checkpoint up ahead. Went a different route to get to the highway. 5 squad cars ran my azz down and the punk cops being buthurt and pizzy asking why I turned around. Wasted 2 hours of my time trying to get me out of my truck. They left ONE cop at the checkpoint and people were blowing by him because he didn't have the rest of his gang there to intimidate people into stopping.

Guys used to join the force to protect and serve. Now they join to wear a gun, drive a fast car and tell people what to do.

All drivers SHOULD be nervous when cops pull them over without cause. They are armed, and legally empowered to lie.

If Police had a "Checkpoint" on an Interstate Highway, Traffic would be "Backed Up" Big Time.

I welcome anyone to explain to me how using deceit to try to violate civil rights is anything but a LEO choosing to dishonor the oath they took and become a low integrity oathbreaker.

I'm "nervous" cause I'm pretty sure you're looking for an excuse to shoot me.

Why would you NOT be nervous when these gangs are out here looking for a way to ruin your life?

Having an out of state license plate does not give the police reasonable suspicion. Fake checkpoints are unconstitutional. DUI checkpoints should be illegal in my opinion. The police don't have the right to pull you over before exiting the highway. A motorist must commit a traffic violation in order for the police to pull you over.

One aspect of police work you can always rely on is studying how to get creative about skirting around the laws.

When law enforcement officers constantly violate citizens rights, it’s time to defund that department, after arresting the offending officers.

Any else getting sick of cops "finding their way around" law? If a cop has to commit criminal activity in order to catch criminals, the only difference between the two is the costume worn and source of income.

This won't stop until qualified immunity is revoked. When the police officers, and their union, are personally liable. When police might lose *their* money, and the union might lose the *retirement* funds, then you'll see things start to change. Why? They only care about their money.
