I really think if your whole family went out and you had a dog I really think you should have a pitbull or a German shepherd because they're the most protective dogs and they will never let one person touch you if they're trying to kidnap you or getting you hurt and also they are very intelligent

I had female Lab Beagle mix from 2008-2021. She was 55 pounds at 20 inches at the shoulders. Little longer than she was tall. She hunted animals on her own, gophers, birds, squirrels until she was 8, she never bit anyone, hated cats and lived to be 15 she(Amber) was the best.

You forgot about the Pitbulls and American Bullys which I have BOTH Breeds and they are PERFECT Guardians with my daughter and my Wife. Both of our Dogs are FULL GROWN thry came drom rhe Pound but they ARE EXCELLENT Guard Dogs. They Patrol the house and Protect the family as a whole.
Neither Razor which is our American Bully or his best friend Oreo whos a Blue Nose Pitbull has EVER tried or attempted to attack anyone in our family.
If our Friends bring over their Infant Child, Razor and Oreo will immediately go into Guard mode, they will lay down next to the Child and wont let any one Near the baby unless myself or my wife gives them the command to back off and let someone through the line of Defense.
We couldn't ask for better Dogs in our house

I grew up with a brown chow chow. Even as a baby I remember him never snapping at me and being as gentle as possible. He’d sit and eat goldfish with me at my grandparents. I remember the day they told me he passed I just sat in my grandmas arms and wailed. I couldn’t understand the concept my best friend was gone and I’d never see him again.

I’ve owned a lot of dogs and the worst part is losing them. Every single time, even 23 years later, it’s a deep pain when you lose a good dog that you don’t even want to get another and put yourself through it all over again. It’s the circle of life
