I'm a male who cuts my own unit, and I've never seen the "twisting hair" technique! But it makes soooo much sense! Thank you for sharing that! Also, I like the way you were very descriptive about protecting the base of the unit, and making sure they used the blank/dull side of the sheers, and then bending it over. Very nice!

The explanation of "why" you don't cut the very top part of the hair was also well explained...

You are so clever. Best wig-thinning vid ever. Thank you! I bought a new lace front, lace cap, heat resistant synth wig today. Love the rich chestnut color and the shag style but it has WAY too much hair and, on me, has what I think is a sort of wiggish-football-helmet look. Thanks so much for taking the time to educate us wig wearers on how to tweek our wigs for more personalized fit and style. I have a small head and face so most units are way too big and thick on me.
