Lyrics:

I'd Love You To Want Me (R. Kent LaVoie / Big Tree)

When I saw you standing there
I 'bout fell off my chair
And when you moved your mouth to speak
I felt the blood go to my feet

Now it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
Something in my soul just cried
I see the want in your blue eyes

Chorus :

Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

You told yourself years ago
You'd never let your feelings show
The obligation that you made
For the title that they gave

Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

Now it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
Something in my soul just cried
I see the want in your blue eyes

Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

Oh baby...

Just turned 65 and still listen to
songs like this - waiting for a new
generation to put out stuff like this-
this world needs it badly.

I was born in 1972 the year this song came out but of course as I got older I would listen to it with my mom, she loved to listen to her music while she would cook dinner for our family and she would listen while she cleaned house, my mom has been gone for a long time she passed away, I love miss and think of her every second of everyday and I now listen to her play list of music and this is absolutely one of my favorites gives me such a warm feeling and a rush of wonderful memories of my mom ❤🎶❤🎼📻

nothing can beat the melodies of 70's and 80's music. Oldie artist are amazing. I can listen to their songs all my life even without doing anything.

Sem autotune, sem edição, sem instrumental estourado, sem desafinação, apenas talento.

The words are so true since we have all wished the other person could feel the way we feel. Lobo has the right rhythm, words, and instruments coming together which makes it touch my soul and heart in a special way.
Great job and thank you for such a great song.
