Hey Cozy - Another story for you, this time about Lobo back in the day (I'm about 16). So, this is about the time period in which LPs were be phased out and CDs were just starting to come into the main stream. I absolutely loved Lobo (still do) and I had only 2 of his LPs. However, I could not find any more LPs, where ever I looked. They were not going to invest in producing more of his LPs, since he was not popular enough to produce his CDs (yet). They were going to produce CDs for the Beatles and other super popular groups first. I get it. So, I personally hand wrote a letter to the president of his label. I explained I loved Lobo, but just could not find him in the record stores, no matter where I looked. I asked the president if they knew of record stores where I could purchase Lobo, or if it was possible to purchase Lobo directly from them. I did not think I would ever hear back. About 1 month later, I received a package from the president. It contained 5 Lobo LPs !! There was a letter that basically said, "since you enjoy Lobo so much, please enjoy these free of charge." I still have those LPs and will eventually pass down to my daughters. Those LPs are really a treasure for me. Now you know the rest of the story !
