Why does he loathe Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2? Besides the story, it’s really not that bad. And neither is the first one, but the TV show is pretty forgettable.

I love how some people in the comments want to compare Frozen to other movies like HTTYD2, Big Hero 6, and Inside Out and that they're "better" when those are movies that came out in different years than Frozen did. You all do realize that this is a Top 5 Best and Worst list for 2013, right? Those other movie came out in 2014 and 2015. Animat just felt that Frozen was the best animated film of 2013. So, before you spew hate for no reason, think about the context of the video and shut the hell up.

To add another complaint to Cloudy 2:
These movies were based on a series of delightful books under the same name. The premise being a bedtime story about a town where the weather naturally consisted of food (snowed mashed potatoes and pancakes, rained hot dogs and orange juice, etc) but things got worse and everyone had to leave. The sequel book is called Pickles to Pittsburgh was about some civilians returning to clean up the town a bit, by recycling the food. Slightly environmental, but in a useful way.
The movie on the other hand was just Jurssnackic Park (yes more bad puns like that exist in the film) and had no subtlety in their environmental message, whereas the book took the time to show the benefits of recycling rather than shout out "Man is evil".

2013 was an awful year for video games too. So I guess it was just an all around dark year for digital media.

The thing I DIDNT like about MU is that they met in college, but in the first movie they were talking about something they did in kindergarten or first grade

I think I have a theory on why 2012 was an amazing year for Animation and 2013 was filled with garbage. Remember back in 2012 when everyone thought the world would on December 21? Maybe the movie makers tried super hard to release some of the best films of all time before they thought the world end. Then in 2013 when everyone realized that the world didn't end, there was a big sigh of relief and the movie makers put in minimal effort. Just a theory please don't hate on me.

Best: 1.Despicable me 2:Liked it more than the first
2.Monsters University: Very great and a lot like Monsters Inc.
3.Turbo:Nice one but it can be like Cars sometimes.
4.The Croods:Very well animated and how it looks.
5. Frozen:I preferred the other ones than this.

1.Escape From Planet Earth: JUST COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!!
2.Walking With Dinosaurs:Let's just make those dinosaurs shut up.
3.Planes:Who wanted this?
4:Cloudy 2:I hated Escape from Planet Earth more
5:Free Birds: They can't be free anymore.
Also, I like how so many people put Escape From Planet Earth as 1 on there worst list.

Croods: Lots of greatness, but nothing too special.
EPIC: It’s epic. Need I say more?
Despicable Me 2: The best of the 4 movies.
Frozen: Never praised it like a deity, but the best of the year. Probably.
