We waited 36 years for this movie it did not disappoint.

My whole theater was groaning when Mav pushed the Darkstar past Mach 10 like "Oh for fuck sake Mav!" Best movie to see in theaters this year.

Just watched it. Let me say that this is why I go to the movies. Not because of marvel / dc or any superhero flick (which are great, I enjoy a lot of them, the Batman that came out in March is my favorite and I loved no way home) but to get a practical movie with hardly any cgi involved that tells a story and a quite emotional one at that, that’s what makes a movie experience for me. It also helped that I sat next to a military man, and saw older couples 60s-80s come to watch this. Not often you see that. This film did that. It’s refreshing. I was actually stressing out for Maverick in the 2nd / 3rd act.

My god, what a badass way to start the movie. That shot with Maverick soaring over Ed Harris was bloody EPIC.

I am at a loss for words. It's been a long time since I last saw a movie that made me feel as much as this one. I got right into it from the very first scene and at no time did I get bored or glance at the watch, I was truly enthralled all the way through to the end. such a masterpiece of a movie. It has undoubtedly restored my faith in cinema, something I had lost in the last few years.

This song gives me a sense of bewilderment and adventure. To push the limits. See what’s out there. Just like Maverick. It reminds me that we still have so much more to do, and there’s always more. I had a smile on my face for this entire scene.

The entire Darkstar sequence had me on the edge of my seat, followed by this accompanying soundtrack. Lorne Balfe, quite the solid composition on the way to Mach 10!

This music is in my opinion by far the best description of who Maverick truly is. Man who doesn't think, blindly listening to rules, just acts. Pushing himself to his limits and beyond. Tom does everything for the movies, because it's part of his very being, just like Mavericks is flying. And just like Maverick is one of the best pilots world has ever known, Tom Cruise is one of the best actors. And that will never change.

I've seen this movie twice at an IMAX and I'm still buzzing. This is truly everything a fan of the original would want and even if you never saw the original, stands alone. It is infinitely better than the first.

It was pure, unfiltered entertainment for the masses. One that unites all kids of people of age and background. I loved this movie so much and I'm still buzzing from seeing it. God bless the cast and crew of this movie, they did such an incredible job. Truly a modern classic
