I am just a bit perplexed about how the first step is the contract
it seems to me more logical that the Contract will be made after the follow-up email. I think I will recap the call in a follow-up email and confirm to the client I will send him the contract in x work days & once it is signed, I will send him the deposit invoice. I think this is more logical because the contract can't be made without the data collected from the onboarding questionnaire and Kick-off call. If the contract is the first step, so, what's before it? How will I know the client's needs and project details which are necessary for the contract?

We do. In a high class proposal/agreement they sign off on. We don’t do an official kick off call tho. I just email or call them and ask for what I need.

Early comment: I won’t do anything before we have at least email agreements and invoices. I’ve been developing a better on boarding process as a priority right now because I’m starting to sell hard and I’m clumsily putting it all together in trello cards
