1) Onboarding is critical, and yet so much friction exists here.
Your job is to make clients feel like they made the right decision.

2) The golden words - 'manage expectations' or even better, incrementally over-deliver as you go.
Say you'll be ready in 14 days knowing you're done in 7.

3) Process or die - build a checklist out for the basics, learn to do it blindfolded.
For example, get access to the stuff you need ahead of time.

4) Consider a dedicated onboarding manager, a good idea for mid to large agencies.
They enforce the rules for both sides and keep things progressing on.

5) Have an intake form/doc/sheet that the client completes.
Automate the result i.e. the relevant team members get alerted and answers populate your process.

Bonus tip: reduce email time wasting by automating the mundane aspects of communication.
In other words if the client does/doesn't complete a step, trigger a message. Email 'you need to do X because of Y' and 'you did this, now we're doing this for you and we be back in X days/hours'.

Airtable is such unbelievable software. We use it for everything as well. Between Typeform + Airtable + Slack, the amount of stuff you can automate is crazy. Great vid.

Solid > Booms... I went through Tallify as an onboarding client... thank you on this > We don't start the backend of anything until they have completed X ... obvious, but so over looked. Thank you Kasim.
