Here are 10 reasons why you need an iPad! I use my iPad Air 5 everyday, while some use it to replace their MacBook, for me it has worked perfectly as it’s own stand-alone device. Sitting right between my M1 Pro 14” MacBook Pro and iPhone 13. And here is why you need one too! The vast majority of these features and use-cases apply to all current iPad models. Photo editing. All video thumbnails edited in Lightroom on iPad. Use Apple Pencil for precise editing. Colours on display are accurate. Pinch to zoom, drawing by hand, feels more natural on iPad. Note taking. Whether you hand write or type, iPad is super for quick note taking. Small form factor takes up less space in bag and table. Many great apps, even just using notes app, syncs with iCloud. Take photo of presentation, copy/paste text right from photo or insert photo right into notes. Great for students or to use in the board room. Multitasking. iPad has become more and more capable, can properly run two apps at once. For example Product website and video script or YouTube video and ebay. Resize, switch between apps, smooth like butter! Universal control. Just place your iPad next to your Mac and instantly you can move your mouse over. No need to lean forward when using Mac at a desk. External monitor. Use side car, proper 2nd monitor for Mac. Bring apps and windows over and control them on iPad. Completely wireless. Edit video on my Mac, have a TV running on the iPad. Watching videos. Big display, relatively slim bezels, light in the hand, surprisingly loud speakers. Perfect for watching videos or even movies. On plane, travelling or couch bed at home. Battery life. Speaking of travelling, iPad has exceptional battery life. 12 hrs of SOT. Hard to kill battery in 1 day. Usually lasts 2-3. Even works as a battery bank to charge iPhone. Travel computer. If I’m going on a short trip like long weekend, I will just bring iPad. It can do all the main productivity tasks (mail, documents etc). More comfortable to use than iPhone, and much easier to bring than MacBook. Video calls. Big screen, easy to carry with you and place somewhere. Center stage adjusts the frame to more with you. Reading. True Tone and night shift adjust displays temperature, more comfortable on eyes - especially at nigh. Zooming into text is easy. Light weight, can hold for long time. Natural to move through an article with finger, or turn the page on a book. This video ironically made me realize I don't actually need an iPad. Everything IPad offers, I can do it on my devices between my iPhone, old Chinese tablet and my gaming laptop.

Apple does such a good job at advertising their products, it makes people want their products even though they probably don't need it.

I think iPads are cool but for me it’s hard to justify one when I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, an M1 MacBook Air, and a tv at home. I use my phone for browsing the web, using apps, etc. MacBook for typing and also for multitasking. Either or for content consumption when I’m not at home. But hey everyone is different

Whenever I consider an iPad, I end up not going for it. The pricing structure makes it hard for me to get on board at any price. With the base iPad, storage, folio, and pencil has it at about $600. At that price, I might as well get an air, but with the proper upgrades that gets even more expensive. At that point I might as well pay a bit more and get promotion, Face ID, and more with a certified refurbished iPad Pro. However, that costs 700+ and with accessories am I really willing to spend that much on an auxiliary device?

Great video. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2021. I have always loved this device because there is so much you can do on it and with it. It was definitely worth the money. I use mine as a planner, watch videos, YouTube, read, gaming and note taking.

I use my 11-inch iPad Pro to study 📖 for my cybersecurity class and any other future classes that I will take in the future. I use the Apple Pencil ✏️ to write out and on the lecture slides. I also watch the occasional movie 🍿 or play an immersive game from time to time. Syncing my class notes between my iPad and iPhone 📱 is pretty easy and convenient, since I can’t carry my iPad to work. My MacBook 💻 Air is kind of old, but still works well with in iPad and iPhone. I use my laptop for the lab work in my class and my iPad is used for my notes.

I just got iPad 9 gen basic model and I love it!!! it’s more portable than my 15 inch MacBook Pro I’m thinking getting Apple Pencil 😄

Im saving to buy an ipad 10 for myself for christmas, i have been doing alot of research on the ipad. It would be good for video calls cause the vertical camera and also good camera quality. It has good graphics for games. I can take notes while watching a video (split screen) and it should be good for drawing on procreate and with the apple pencil. I know im going to get procreate because i steal my friends ipad and draw on it lol

my first was an ipad2. my last one(2020/21) died a year ago. mostly i played games on that thing. didn't find many ways to really improve work for me. so i don't really miss that thing. of course i think about buying one again. but why?

Quite honestly, the feature I’ll use the most is just Sidecar, and possibly drawing. But I can’t let go of my Air 2, so I use it as a standalone device.

I just want a tablet for consuming content and gaming that will last me for years but I can only afford the iPad 9 on the Apple side. However, there are so many android alternatives specially the Xiaomi mi Pad 5 which has better display and speaker compared to the iPad 9. My problem with android tablets are their longevity because they all feel so disposable. It's like only one year of use.

Ipad makes it hard to get even for a gift, I don't find any actual use beyond for kids, having a phone in your pocket you are set, and if you are looking for a work tool you already have a way better one wich is your laptop, makes no sense to me.

There is still a lot to like about a big yellow pad and a pencil or pen, some might even find it exciting, given all the electronic media they have grown up with.
I use my phone for so many things, trying to tell myself, I could actually use an iPad or MacBook lol
