My heart hurts for this father! No parent deserves this pain and betrayal!

unfortunately, when you hear something like she left with her boyfriend and was never heard from again you can't help but to assume he most likely killed her

If she is alive & just hasn’t reached out that would be the worst torture she could possibly inflict upon her parents. Just a cruelty that is beyond belief. Praying for her & her family.🙏🏽

The odds of her still being around is low but still not impossible.

Possible chance she could be dead since it’s been 30 years with no response back, but that is just what I think.

Sounds to me like she stole money from her employer, then fled and laid low. Probably so much time passed, she started a new life, and just left the old behind

I do hope shes still alive, and will let her family know she is ok

Sorry, Dad, she is most probably dead. Too many killers of women in the streets.

Whatever the case, I can't imagine how hard this must be for Cassandras's family.. The not knowing. Sorry for the pain they're going through.

You forgot to ask the boyfriend’s parents.

Very sad that this petty crime kept her away from her family.

Aw I'm thinking she didn't make it long since she was good about keeping in touch at first. As a parent I know he just doesn't want to lose hope though.

This story is super vague and has ALL types of holes in it... 🤔

Wow...thirty years later is a crazy amount of time to feel worried, & suddenly do some investigation out of the blue. Had I been in the Father's shoes, & it was my Daughter I would go crazy with a day or two without some sort of contact.

Her boyfriend possibly killed her. So, she's dead

Well she’s known where her family was so she would have been able to contact them….and it doesn’t seem like she left because of a problem with her family…she seemed to have a good relationship with them based on the letter…she felt like she could tell them the truth….so I would guess that she’s probably not alive anymore or she would have sent them letters or called just to say she’s ok.

She would have contacted her family by now, even if she committed a worse crime than theft and was afraid and ashamed at the time.
Hoping for some kind of positive outcome.

Something like this happened in my family. A cousin of my mom's had no contact with the family for something like 30 years. Some of the relatives believed she was dead, while others believed she was just living life. By the time anyone looked into it, she had already passed away a few years before. By all accounts she just lived her life away from us.
