as someone who has an iPhone XR and is thinking of upgrading to a 15, this video helped a lot. my XR is slowly dying and I can feel the lag. knowing there isn't a big difference from some of the 14's and the plus' and pro's. thanks a lot!

Great video, but I couldn't disagree more when you said there's a lot of differences between the regular and pro models this year. There are minor differences, even less than previous years IMO.

1. 120hz refresh rate - yeah, this is the biggest one it makes sense why Apple locks this to pro's only
2. Action button - gimmick, people will be over it in a week
3. Titanium frame - again, gimmick. An argument can be made that the aluminum frame feels and looks better than titanium
4. Updated processor - doesn't matter at all cause the A16 was already overkill for 99.9% of people
5. Updated cameras - if you're truly a professional and use LOG, then yes I can see the justification. But again, for 99% of consumers, they won't notice a difference
6. Battery life - According to multiple battery test videos, the regular models have better battery life than the Pros


Just my opinions. I usually upgrade year over year and go with the Pro models but I'm returning the 15 Pro for the regular 15 because I just don't see the value this year.

We upgraded from iPhone 11 to 15 Pro. Pretty much a free upgrade because our carrier gave us so much.

The amount of contemplating I've done the past 2 days has been mind boggling. I ultimately decided to go for the 15 Pro over the 15 Pro Max because I prefer the smaller size and one-hand usability. Either way, it will be a huge jump from my 11 Pro to the 15 Pro when it arrives and I'm so excited!

Coming from an 8-plus I don't know what to choose - the prices in Canada are insane. $1, 800 for a Pro 256G (coming from a 256GB 8-plus) is a tough bill to swallow.

Ordered the 15PM 512gb in Natural Titanium. Upgrading from the 12PM. Went with the 512gb because I love to take a lot of pictures and videos. I also plan on keeping it for 3-4 years and I don’t want to worry about storage

I have the 11Pro Max it was the first phone in a long time that I actually “loved”. Everything about this phone was what I was looking for when I got it-it still is tbh! I could’ve upgraded a few times now but I was worried about giving up my “perfect” phone 😂
I’m finally ready! I really wanted to know the difference between the models -this video really helped me. I do believe I’ll be going with the 15promax 256g not sure of the color though. I currently have the dark green but that’s really not a huge issue. I was going to go with the 512g but after listening to your reasons and checking my storage (I still have 170g open) I really do not need 512 ! Thanks for the great information

I purchased my phone on March day and it was pretty seamless going straight through AT&T. I went with the one terabyte option so that way I have plenty of room for shooting video and taking lots of sports photography. Sports fans need the space so they can hold a lot of memories from the events they attend. I also shoot train videos from my brother who is a train enthusiast.

The regular 15 pro has the same camera hardware as the 14pro. The only camera upgrade is on the 15 pro max and only the 5x zoom. The aperture and sensor size didn’t change.

I was playing with the 15 and 15 pro in the apple store today taking similar shots zoomed across the room and then closeups of the text on the table (the word iphone) and to my eye the base 15 looked much better. The pro close ups of text on the table were much blurier than the exact same shot taken on the 15 and the zoom of the 15 across the room in the apple looked clearer. I was completely confused. I was there trading in an iphone 8 so was just waiting while the apply guy did the checks they do and I showed him and he couldnt disagree. Very strange.

The fact you can now record direct to external storage on the 15 pro models negates the need for the internal storage. The £200.00 price difference is the cost of a 2 to 4 tb external ssd. Also the additional cost to have 2tb iCloud storage with a monthly cost. Whilst there is much back on forth on is it worth upgrading. The USB C port especially on the pro models, will reduce accessory costs significantly. Given the pro max is now on back orders for deliveries being scheduled in November in a number of places around the world. The change to USB C appears to flip predictions around as to uptake of the new model.
