People don't realize that the iPhone has been able to go down to 2 nits for as far back as the 11 pro, maybe even the X and the XS if DXOMark tested them. I don't even think those who have the 13 pro need to upgrade this year

Well I am upgrading from an 8 plus. Given my phones last 7 years, I think I will just bite the bullet and max it out. It is hard to imagine that I will pay almost as much for my 16pro max as I did for my 14" MacBook Pro. Such is the world we live in.

The two things I want are a big screen and good battery. It's clear that Apple worsened the 16 plus' battery to push people like me towards the pro max, which very much annoys me but also, I do really want the great battery life.
