Man...If Papyrus sang to me this way when i played the genocide run i wouldn't have had the strength to kill him and keep going.

What I like about this the most is what Papyrus says, or basically the lyrics. You didn't make him stupid. He knows what's going on. He knows that you're killing others. However, he still thinks you can be good. He thinks so because he's a cinnamon roll.

Papyrus’s Check text in this fight just says “Forgettable”, and somehow that’s the part that hurts most.

I just now realized just how freaky Frisk looks in this package.
Also Papyrus' voice is an angel's.

This is why I'm glad they did the genocide route. As heartbreaking as it is, it shows some of the best aspects of the monsters. Papyrus isn't a a cheerful narcissist, he is a truly kind soul that believes no one is beyond saving/compassion. It shows undyne as a True Hero, and not just as a hot head trying to murder a little kid. Even if it's sad, it a story worth sharing.

If you consider every playthrough possible as cannon (due to the multiple timelines plot), that means there's probably a decent amount of endings where Papyrus convinces you to stop killing things.

What I love most about this is the way that certain lines, such as "I can be your friend and guide", are practically begging for a duet. He leaves an opening. To deny something as instinctual as music makes the betrayal so much more impactful to me.

I've gotta say, the moment you murder Papyrus in Genocide Run effectively marks the point where you are beyond redemption. Killing your mother figure that wanted what's best for you wasn't enough, you just had to off the most innocent and pure soul in the Underground. You had to slaughter the one thing that motivates Sans anymore. The worst thing Paps ever did to you was make you go through easy puzzles, and even with his dying breath, he still believes that you can be a better person. You deserve each and every thrashing that Undyne and Sans give you.

That voice for Papyrus was actually really good, it was
So calm and soothing to the ears, I didn’t think he’d be that great of a singer, but I guess I prefer a more gentler tone for him. The No Mercy run was really something else, if you played Pacifist to already know these characters and see them like this and be victim to what we do to them, just hits you in that spot you know. Great job out there, and the rest of the Undertale Musical.
