What about non medical expenses? It's time to cover them as well inside insurance. Hospitals are charging 10K~20K for mops and all. We are in a hospital not for fun but to get treated. These things doesn't make any sense. As always consumer is in lose lose situation.

Just in Time . Did a cashless treatment for a parent for Catract surgery. For some reason, Hospital said only 23k is approved out of 30K bill, so we had to pay rest in cash. When enquired with Go Digi, they plainly cite that its standard tarrif. However, in policy, no where it mentions there is such limit. Other patients cashless claim were fully approved (those with medi Assit TPA) Seems these new Gen insurance companies (Acko, Digit etc )has their own schmes.

It will take its own time to evolve. But very good analysis.

Private Insurers should come together and form a private organization. The work of that organization will be only to maintain and facilitate the network hospital for the Insurers which are part of that organisation. With this, private Insurers will also get some leverage. This will also benefit the customer because now while taking insurance, they will not have to give up better option just because of less number of network hospitals.

I learned that the government is already working on something like this? Like they are making a list of around 40-45 thousand quality hospitals. Which will provide cashless facility to all insurers.

Is it true?

They charge more for a cashless treatment when compared to a reimbursed treatment. Is that true ?
