UPDATE ON HDR: I have changed some settings and HDR does look way better after the update. I will make a video on my settings. Thanks!

I love this monitor. Hands down best monitor I've owned in 25 years of PC gaming.

Just pray 🙏 you don’t need Asus for a RMA.

Playing in SDR makes everything WAY over saturated. Most people think that looks good but it’s very off.

I managed to get one on Amazon but it won't get it for a month or less, which sucks but I'm paying the normal price. I literally just finished paying off my samsung odyssey neo g7 and it's a good monitor, it's my first 32" monitor and it's curved. It was easy to get used to coming from a 27" monitor. I've seen many reviews and I'm hyped. Now about the brightness, anyone who watches movies, TV and games, knows not to have the screen face the windows because of the light reflection. I know for a fact that I mostly likely won't have a problem with that. I game in the dark and I don't have rgbs. I'll be using it on my Xbox series X. I really want to try that feature that makes your screen 27".this monitor is definitely a pay to play. And I feel it's going to be a solid monitor for years.

For a minute a thought it was just me, I used hdr, messed with the settings and every single time, I thought sdr looked way better, colors and brightness, unless I haven't find the right settings but I doubt it, I have the UCDP right now, is the one in talking about, I'm getting UCDM today, need to see which one I'll be keeping

HDR is pretty good on this monitor. RTings seems to agree. Are you sure you set everything up properly?

the price difference is because Asus uses a heatsink to cool the monitor which is much better than the others

Looking at this and the ultragear 1 but they are both so expensive..PG32UCDM looks like the top 1 monitor right now. The one that comes kinda close? LG 32GS95UE OLED 4K 240/480 Hz (seems like they messed up the glossing on it *with a bad grainy coating+bad HDR brightness..)

either 27" or 32" is the sweet spot. if your desk is shallow I recommend 27". If your desk is deeper I suggest 32". I recommend 27" if you're at 1440p and 32" at 4k. I bought 2 of these to upgrade away from the LG ultragear series.

Do I use display port 1.4 or hdmi 2.1 for 240hz for 4k 3140x2160? Using a 490

What about brightness for this monitor compare to others

I went with the new LG one instead, the asus one is 1.800€ around here and 3 months delivery time,
Also my room is pretty bright and i just noticed that both of my 240hz monitors also have a matt coating so i guess im fine with that

But yea i think 4k 240 and 1080p 480hz probably fits the games i play even better

All those static images and UI in Battlefield got me a bit anxious

Want to love these 240Hz OLEDS but the VRR flicker is 100% a deal breaker..Good review. It is a fantastic monitor, as well as the Alienware 32" curved one..just that dang VRR flicker with OLED sucks. I know all the tricks to get around the flickering. But im not turning off GSnync or frame locking a 240Hz monitor thats over $1200.. just my thoughts on it

Thanks for this, i had the fo32up from gigabyte and i had to return it, i hate the fact that it cant hit bright levels in hdr, i had pg35vq before and it could easily hit 1300 nits in hdr and everything looked awesome, vibrant and popped out when in hdr. It was a downgrade with qd oled. I might wait ajother year for new oled panels that will reach more than thousand nits sustained like my pg35vq.
But thanks for this video, i need ed to hear opinions on the much more expensive 4k 240hz monitor. Also one more thing, i think i will never go back to 4k, i will stay in ultrwide, everythin, from racing games to fps games even third person games play much better than in 4k, the extra wide space just muuuuch more immersive tahnk 4k
