Would a one wire alternator be more efficient and effective if you run the big power cable from the back of the alternator directly to the battery most videos i watch people run the thick cable to a solenoid and then run another to the battery are both the same process just different ways of doing it or what’s your opinion

Hey I have a power master one wire and I can put a screw driver to it and it magnetize with the switch off, is it possible that it is bad….or is that normal, it puts out 14v but I’ve changed 3 batteries out recently saying bad battery?

06 3v mustang. New battery and alternator. Thinking about running a different bigger gauge with no fuse link to battery and alternator due to check charging system. Also going to ground the alternator as well. Big 3. Would this work for the issue especially with the no fuse link in between. I figure the ground would help accommodate it?

I just bought a 69 nova it has a 396 in it battery is in the trunk. It has one wire from the positive side of the battery going to the alternator and thats it. Its a newer alternator. It tested the battery but it said the battery says its not charging. Dont know if i need too add the rectangular plug into the alternator someone told me the plug has two wires a fat red one and the exciteder wire and to tie the fat red wire into the red battery wire thats going into the alternator. Any advice would help. Thanks

Out of curiosity..

I have a 2012 Ford Focus SE i had the stock alternator swapped with a 370 amp alternator in anticipation of a stereo install. I ordered the Big 3 kit for the installation and i am just getting around to installing that. I see where the big power wire would connect and run to the battery, but where do i run the other grounds?
I know there is supposed to be one running from the battery to the frame where the original ground was, and i read the other would go from the engine block to the frame.

Could you tell me if this is correct?

I wired stereos before, just not alternators or upgraded the install wires.

This may be a dumb question, but I need some explaining with this one .
I just bought a Mitsubishi Galant and took a closer look under the hood finding a wire running just like this from the battery to the alternator. 😪 Uhh .. why exactly would the previous owner have had to do this ? Is it something to be concerned about? Or do I have to worry about this quick fix needing to be redone here in the near future? If so, how or when am I gonna know to replace it and am I at a greater risk for breaking down or doing damage to the vehicle cuz of this fix? NEED HELP PLEASE 😩
