I am heart broken to know about the passing away of Dr M S Swamithan, who was the architect of green revolution in Bharat. I feel short of words to describe this personal loss. He was the grand mentor of my great mentor, Prof. P C Kesavan. His sundry achievements will be remembered for ever. Not only a great scientist, administrator and humanist, but he was also a great patriot. Till his last breath, he kept contributing towards well being of farmers and food security. He was a peerless son of India and true 'Bharat Ratna'. The Govt. of India should not delay honouring him with ' Bharat Ratna'.
