I salute this great personality in transforming our Indian agriculture. While pursuing my graduation in Agriculture during 1970 - 1974 I came across his beautiful work in Agronomy on wheat revolution. Especially I still remember the wheat varieties in my memory. There two stalwarts in our Indian agricultural scenario one is MSS ( famous for Green revolution) and another Dr. Vergese (white revolution). Our country is thriving because of these today. Jai Kissan. Jai Hind.
