I've found that using the smith machine allows me work in certain ranges of motions and body positions that helps hit some of those hard to reach muscles in your shoulders. Focus on a smooth continuous tempo keeping the shoulders loaded and active throughout every part of the movement. Start slow and controlled at a light to moderate load. This exercise will fatigue you very quickly.

Every other fitness person says behind the head is unnecessary
and only damages your shoulders over time

Good vid but please don’t go behind the head. The pros don’t outweigh the cons imo.

I never use the smith machine but gonna start to use it since I got an injured shoulder. How much does the bar usually weigh on smith?

can i do that standing but placing the bar on my forehead because i have scrawny physique and very weak shoulders?

So dangerous you don’t have back support on the bench, nor do you have clamps on to protect yourself
