I always tell my colleagues, dont give interest free money to government, do declaration in advance and even if they make RD or FD with amount they get in hand it will give good returns. But they are like i will work 10 to 12 hrs for company each day and give interest free loan to government and pay service fee to CA but dont want to invest time in educating themselves about tax declaration.🤷‍♂️

I wanted to ask why not let government take the TDS, it's like a saving account for us because at last they will refund the money. Also, when the money is with me, I'll have to manage it and most probably I'll use it in some way or other, but in TDS, it's more safe... is it? Please reply

The government gives interest at 0.5%/month starting April month on Refundable amount .
