Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: The First Preview

We are suitably impressed with what we saw and played during our first hands-on with Microsoft Flight Simulator, and we didn't think Asobo would be able to improve on the 10 out of 10 MSFS 2020 much more than an iterative update. But this is a reimagining of the entire franchise. Everything good… is better now, and everything new looks awesome and fun. Previewed by Seth Macy

That ground level looks insane. Most of the earth at that level of detail with fauna too is like dream come true.

As a person that's worked on jets the attention to detail is amazing. The scratches on the canopy when in the cockpit is beautiful.

Really hope it’s been improved for VR. This game makes it worth it for me to go all out on high end pc and vr. Christmas will be fun!

I'm very excited with the amount of real-world data in real-time inside this game. Can you imagine a future where Microsoft Flight Simulator just becomes Microsoft Simulator where you can drive cars, ride bicycles, walk around, enter points of interests like historical landmarks (maybe in VR) and all that with actual data pulled from the Maps API and so much more.

They're making this so realistic that they will spawn other simulators from this game world they've produced. Eventually Ship sims, driving sims, train sims etc. will come from this.

So it's The Sims stitched onto MS Flight Simulator. Let's hope this career mode has a military bend to it. We all want Combat Flight Simulator to return. And we still await crash dynamics to return to make it a real simulator experience.
