I have 32gb of system ram and thought it was overkill when I did it 2 years ago. 64gb of system ram is insane.

I have yet to see a video showing procedurally generated terrain and detailed features for flights that the user might choose for anywhere across the world. Everything seems focused on career mode, walking around, and specific missions, and I suspect that Asobo has already developed full terrain detail for these specific locations. But we need to see how accurate and detailed the procedurally generated terrain will be for everywhere else in the world, on day one of release.

As bizarre as it sounds, probably the thing I'm looking forward to most with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is being able to first-person walk up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). I remain a little sceptical that it will look as good as they claim.

We're firmly in the era where Software has outpaced available GPUs by a half a decade it feels like. Not helped by the likes of one company dominating the upper range, and not giving a shit about its gaming customers.

I think the reason for no 3rd person and no avatars in multiplayer are due to animations ... it's a lot of work and it doesn't surprise me that they passed on it. Also, I saw a conversation on reddit that if you own the Premium Deluxe edition of 2020, all of the base aircraft from that version will be unlocked in your edition 2024, even if you only purchase the standard edition - not sure if that is true, but it seems logical. For example, the Cirrus SR22 is in the PD edition of 2020 and if you only purchase the standard edition of 2024, it will be unlocked for you.
