Absolutely enjoy the message of physical therapy to help somebody with this issue. 100% spot on and I wish more people would do it instead of wanting to jump to corticosteroid or surgery.

We know now from the literature that subacromial decompression surgery is not warranted for atraumatic tears (as it doesn't outperform sham surgery, or physical therapy), and that the subacromial space is the same compared to the non affected side. So probably less to do with creating more space and more to do with engaging in activities that help challenge and build up that area.

for me it started in my right shoulder, every morning, for 10 days now, when I wake up I feel pain in my right shoulder and last two days my left shoulder has been in pain even more, especially when I use my arm for something, when I tried today to get wallet from my back pocket it hurted like hell, when I try to take off my jacket it hurts. If you can help me it would be very nice. I don't want to go to the doctor's office it's horrible in my town..
