FutureCanoe has genuinely become one of my favorites content creators and I've known him for like 3 weeks

This man has me in a chokehold with his videos. Does everyone remember when Bon Appetite came out and everyone loved watching all of the chefs, this man gives me that energy and that joy. I hope he succeeds in everything.

my favourite thing about these videos is the almost perfect balance between great technical knowledge and goofy radioactivity (although there was none in this video!) it feels like when i'm in the kitchen with my brother or something haha
all those dumplings look so good, keep it up futurecanoe!

The voice makes me feel better about myself. People always tell me I drone so I learned to modulate my voice a lot so I'm not too boring to listen to.
Him being successful makes me feel better

I think the Indian gravy-dumpling dish you talked about is called jhol momo. It's a Nepali delicacy. Love from India.

Quick tip, if you add a splash of vinegar to the water flour mixture for the "snowflake" it gives it a salt and vinegar chip like taste!

I love watching you succeed. Your channel hits the perfect note of that goofy, sometimes disappointing but with very high highs feeling of cooking for yourself as an adult for the first time.

I haven’t really commented much on YouTube since 2009 but I just want to say these videos are giving me such a newfound hope for cooking. In 2019 I started a journey of cooking one new meal a day and this channel is giving me the strength to continue!

You're thinking of the Nepali / Indian dish, it's called a momo, literally just dumplings in indian sauces / spices. Pretty damn tasty!

Edit: You guys are correct, it's primarily Tibetan and it's branched out from there! :D

I could not help but rewind at 12:24 to hear that little "hee" again xD that was so cute!
Great video I don't eat dumplings usually but this is definitely helpful if I ever decide to fry them or boil someday.

Okay but hear me out; boiled dumplings in the potato ramen from the ramen video is pretty solid. Trust me, I ate it last night and it was pretty solid. Peak food to prep my soul for finals week.

Also man that kimchi bacon one looks good.

This is the video I needed. That water trick for the boiled dumplings is awesome. Please start all three, podcast if we can only have one.

By the way you got me buying frozen dumplings. I've never done that, but your recipes always seem so easy to try it's too tempting.

My favourite way to use frozen dumplings is while cooking any soup-based ramen (usually Shin Ramyun) I just throw 3-4 of them in during the last minute or two of cooking.
Really elevates the experience by making you feel fuller (with the same cooking duration) and great dumpling soup at the end. 10/10 would recommend

About 9:55, we have a dish called momos here in India, which is basically dumplings but smaller and usually different fillings, and we go crazy with the combinations for it, so I'm sure butter chicken momos exist somewhere, but it's not common, usual combos go chicken/ paneer (cottage cheese) varients of boiled/steamed/fried/deep fried ones, we have other sauces to pair with it too :)
