I believe government officials do have a protected right to free speech; however, this right is limited and only protects government officials when they are speaking as a private citizen. If the government official’s speech is part of their official job duties, they can face disciplinary action, for what they say. Additionally, NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

To be honest, there was a time when I just voted and let it go because I thought the party's would do whatever they wanted and there was nothing I could do about it or the right-wing republicans would do and be honest. Well, I began to look at and pay attention to the ballots and those running for office and started to study what I could. I voted well but the 2016 election AND the 2018 election made me really take notice. BUT the 2020 election and these years coming, just looking at the Republican Party, I am horrified at them and myself for believing they would do the right thing! Shame on me and I'm doing better.

Doesn't mean democrats are better but will deal with them when they show up. So glad that the law works for ALL people and NOT just the rich, famous and privileged! No one is above the law. Still long way to go but thank God 🙏.
