Basically, if the blister is causing problems and the skin underneath is raw, leave the covering skin on but drain the fluid. If the skin underneath is healed enough, drain it and remove the skin. If the blister isn't causing issues but the skin underneath is raw, don't do anything to it.

I got blisters from running with no socks and getting sand in my shoes. Huge blister just like the one in the video. On both my feet. Popped them the same day. Luckily, no damage ran 3 miles the next day. I did clean them up and wrap them up after.

If a blister is not causing me problems like being too big and in the way, I never mess with it and let it stay till it goes away naturally.

If the blister is causing issues i usually drain it, unroof it, disinfect for good measure and put a clean bandaid on if its still raw.

Any bump, blister, or abnormality I have ever gotten has been solved with a thumbtack. The hundreds of thousands of dollars I save from not going to the doctor to do the same thing is wonderful <3

I think basically if it hurts to touch leave it alone unless the pain is caused by the pressure of the fluid

For me making a small cut to release the liquid is a pain relief and doesn’t slow down the healing process but this is super subjective.

I never bother with my blisters I’ve had so many blood blisters as well and leave them alone within three weeks they’re healed and the weird whatever skin falls off

Just letting everyone know, cutting a big blister with scissors is an amazing feeling, just the feel of scissors cutting skin, sounds weird, but it’s like butter

I always cut the whole thing off because if I just drain it the cut I make would close up and the blister will refill with fluid. I cut it off and put a blister bandage on it.
