Rules of college:
1. Find your classes before they start, and if you didn’t then don’t feel bad asking people where buildings are.
2. Abuse the unlimited cafeteria food if you got it, whether it’s filling your bag up with fruits from there to take back to your dorm to grabbing a coffee cup and filling it with cereal as a grab and go to your first class of the day
3. Set boundaries for your dorm. Make sure you and your roommate know what’s allowed and not right off the bat, avoids awkwardness later and helps show who is in the wrong if an argument down the road.
4. Stress is good, overly stressing is not. Grades are important, but overall as long as you get a degree that’s what employers really care about. So study and keep the grades reasonable but remember to not over due it and make yourself miserable

leaving home for the first time and plunging into the world of college will probably be one of the scariest things you'll ever do, but it's definitely an eye-opening experience and a chance to grow and become more independent and decide for yourself who you want to be.

during the first week, i expected the entire week to be syllabus week but it was only like syllabus day and we got into the material right away

My first week in college we had to go home over labor day because something happened and everyone's bathrooms were flooding on my side of the building. People also tend to set fire alarms off at 3 am
