Since the coronavirus lockdown, zoom’s daily active users shot up from around 10 million to 300 million as people use the platform for school classes, work meetings, social hours, support groups and even funerals and weddings all from their homes.
People are looking to take advantage of zoom because of its popularity. Zoom has had to address security issues and they’ve been releasing information on their security updates regularly. Anytime a security hole is identified, they are as quickly as possible closing that hole.
Zoom also announced they will be adding a new encryption standard, called AES 256-bit GCM encryption. Zoom will provide increased protection for meeting data and resistance against tampering.
