Small point, The Ozolith doesn’t actually take the counters off of creatures, it looks at what counters are on the creature and puts the same number and type on itself. I have checked before because of Skullbriar and verified again on gatherer. Still a great include in that deck though and I love your content thank you.

Offbeat decks are the best decks. My friend already has the Zagras pingers deck, it’s pretty scary to know that any of your creatures could die at any time.

The deathtouch ping deck fits pretty well with Kelsien, the plague as a commander (ruthless regiment alternative commander) because you can tap it at instant speed

I have a Firja decklist that uses the same concept. Good tip: use cipher spells to ease the pressure of casting 2 spells during your turn.

How about *a world-building* theme deck?

Your commander, mechanics of choice, and you *don’t* go about placing “auto-includes* (unless you know they’re integral to the play strategy), and you pick choice lands that your Commander will “live” under.

Mine is Marath, Will of the Wild.

Cards that I didn’t include were cards like Skullclamp, as that doesn’t go with a “nature” theme, however, cards like Cathar’s Crusade are viable for the deck strategy.

Lands were selected carefully, and the basics are all old boarder frame.

The spells also reflect the deck theme, but that’s a work in progress.

Try that for an idea.☺️👍

The biggest problem I've had for Codie decks is that it becomes a lightning rod for all your opponents removal spells. It can almost be difficult at times to keep it on the field long enough to use its ability.

I kind of wanted Wizards to do some more with Flanking, similar to Rampage. Flanking 1, 2 or 3. Would have been unique.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for, I love these kind of decks. I’ve got a jeleva deck that changes every game by randomly selecting a bunch of spell at random from a big pool of the best and weirdest stuff I could find. I’ve won in at least 15 different ways with it.

I’ve also been playing around without the idea of a Zur the Enchanter deck that is built around color hate. You just tutor for the best color hate piece that fits each game.
