The right reanimator deck can be budget friendly. A lot of creatures are printed at common and uncommon that are annyoing to cast but are good targets (Like Dusk Mangler)

Artifacts can be relatively cheap. My Emry deck was originally designed to be $100, with a good Chunk of budget going to Brain Freeze and Blasting Station to be the finishers.

I love +1/+1 counter decks! My first commander deck I played with was Chishiro, the Shattered Blade and my first actually competitive deck was Bright-Palm, both of which are a blast to play in my opinion lol. Honorable mention for the video IMO is tokens. There are some really cheap infinite combos that are really good in token decks. Things like Midnight Guard and Prescence of Gond/Splinter Twin/Elemental Mastery.

So glad my boi got a shoutout here! Ghave is one of my all time favorite decks!
When I started brewing my very first lifegain deck, it was between Ghave and Oloro. Ultimately, I went with a Ghave soul sister +1/+1 build, and it's been a blast every time!

I think the beamtown bullies from new capeana is an excellent budget deck, stack it full of useless or downright debilitating (usually ultra cheap) creatures, cycling, and discard and watch as your opponents scream as you pass them a leveler, soulgorger orgg, or an eater of days from your graveyard. Easy to build under $100 but can go way cheaper with the right alternatives, can be a one trick pony though so make sure your commander is protected.

How about blink; spend a but to get consistent bounce enchantments and artifacts (Thassa etc). Then fill your deck with ETB triggers. Commanders: Kodamma the east tree (?) with Ishai to get access to blue and white.

"generic commanders" are really good for budget (Commanders that have a wide amount of options but a focused theme). For example Alesha and Thunder Junction Ghired. Both have a lot of options for cheap cards. For both of these it should be easy to get a functioning deck if you have a day to spend at a LGS.

My favourite spellslinger commander is Tor Wauki the Younger. Soo many good cantrips to benefit his burn strat, and its really funny watching other players widen their eyes when you give him Infect!

Three dog (something) DJ seems like a really cool boros aura themed commander, and for only 9 cents he'll let you copy any aura on him and put it on every attacking creature you control so having something like eldrazi conscription and turn a board of 1/1 creature tokens into something truly horrifying

Defender Decks are great and mostly cheap. The best commanders are the green, blue, white dragon that lets them attack or the croc elk turtle from Karlov Manor. But some defenders have Defender Synergy abilities that can make for an easy win. Axebane Guardian adds X mana of any color combination where X is defender Total, Doorkeeper forces mill for your defender total, etc…

Blink deck with Yorion can be very effective. Its parts aren't hard to get and can run two themes. Energy, artifact golem tokens pair well.

Boros weenie aggro. I used "Aurelia the Warleader", and its nice because you can build a decent budget deck that can be upgraded to most power levels.

If I actually get around to making videos, I have 2 planned around budget builds: one for Kambal, Consul of allocation (Extort/Reanimate type mechanics), and Astor, Bearer of Blades (Equipment). The extort type mechanics with Kambal make for a ton of small jabs at opponents while boosting your own health, sacrificing and reanimating your own creatures. Astor equips everything for 1, making Colossus Hammer a 2 cost +10/+10. Lots of cheap equipment cards and lots of Boros creatures that synergize well in equipment decks.

Mono blue control; plenty of cheap counter spells and bounce options. Add some evasion and viola, a deck is born.

Krark with a blue green partner is a great bulk build. I am 95% done with a deck built out of cards I’ve pulled from packs. It isn’t going to be super strong but it slowly growing in strength as I buy boxes for drafts is going to be great. It can also have some great storm uses. Ramp with green draw with blue then have a random chance of storming off early with a handful of doubled spells. Mostly a fun deck as there’s a chance the deck literally does nothing with bad coin flips.
