Here is how you do it. And yes I’m a professional photographer tip one. Take the Mens off and use the blower first upside down. Yes that air blower to get rid of any of the dust that’s on the sensor first opened most of that can be removed by simply using the blower. Put the Lens back on and take a cup of tea shots. You might find that that’s enough. If, however, there is still marks on the sensor that is when you use the swab, but you can use the swab dry first you don’t need to put the liquid on first. Again swipe one way, then swipe the next after that use the blower again. If, however, it is still a mark on the sensor that is when you use the liquid and a new swab. You will need to give the sensor a few minutes to dry as the liquid on the swab is actually alcohol based and it will take a few minutes to dry, sometimes it dries straight away.

Content : You actually can

I use one of those blowing things you squeeze. But if something is stuck to the sensor then yeah one of those sensor wipes.

You aren't cleaning the sensor, you're cleaning the glass in front of it. And glass is actually pretty scratch resistant

There is a difference in dismantling the cam and cleaning the sensor and cleaning the glass that protects the sensor.
A lot of people use microfiber, some may use soot to polish the glass.
Do not use wet cleaning utensils or rough tools.

How would you recommend cleaning a full frame sony sensor?
I'm confused on if you should just let the cleaning solution airdry on the sensor or if you wipe it off with a dry swab

Or use a rocket blower. It always helps me to get the dust off.

Just to note, I know with older DSLR Cameras with or without Dust Delete. That often you clean the sensor with the correct swab. But still have dust spots in your photos especially against bright backgrounds like sky in landscape. So I found a solution for the stuck on spots. As sensor cleaning solutions are fairly weak. And you are really only cleaning the Low Pass Filter on the Sensor. So start with boiling water, add to a small container or cup/glass. Then add 1/4 % dish soap to the boiled water. Stir. Now while this is still hot. Use your sensor cleaning swab. Dip it in the soapy hot water. Then swab your sensor as usual. But give it a few extra passes with decent pressure. Re-dip swab if needed. You will obviously see the wet soapy residue on the sensor. Then you will need a cup of clean non soapy boiled water. While hot, Swab your sensor again with a new swab. absorbing the remaining soapy water. Then applying clean hot water. Continue now to wipe dry with another swab or 2. after this, you can now swab your sensor again with the sensor cleaning solution. This works on the most stubborn stuck on spots. I even start with blowing the sensor with canned compressed air. Held at a distance with minimal force, but better then a rocket blower. This method will require many swabs, But 5-7 swabs is worth it when you have a pristine clean sensor, and crystal clear photos.

You're not wrong about the swabs, but you're wrong about it being the only option.

You can also clean the sensor by using an air blower and blowing on the sensor UPSIDE DOWN. That's enough to get rid of the most common dust. The only time you use those swabs is when you cannot get rid of the dust using a blower.

Give better advice please.

How about using the inbuilt camera sensor cleaner? Nikon DSLRs have that feature.

Heard some people are using a microfiber cloth, what about that? Or would you not recommend that either

I usually soak my camera in hot soapy water overnight then air dry it naturally.
