At What Age Can I Start Babysitting?

I get asked all the time, "when can I start babysitting?"
A lot of times it really isn't up to us. If no one is asking you to babysit because they think you're too young then we haven't started.
Don't give up, don't be discouraged, just be prepared!
Get your certifications, take that babysitting course and volunteer with kids.
Get your experience and when they ask you will be ready!

I attempted to start at 12 but had this same problem. I had qualifications but couldn’t get experience as no one wanted to hire me. No one hired me until I was 14. I’ve been with that family every Saturday since then and I’m now 16!
That family were desperate for a minder and that was the main reason they hired me at my age. But once I started with them they provided a reference which helped me to get properly started. I now have 8 regular clients ages ranging between 1-12! Thank you for these videos, they’re really helpful! ❤😊
