Prices for cars/trucks have soared in the past 4 years. In todays video we have the most affordable 2024 Ford F150 you can currently buy and that is a base model XL that starts at $36,965, but what do you actually get for the money? Are the trucks that cost more than double of this F150 really worth the money?

$2000 destination fee? I’ll just “pick up” the truck from the factory please! 😂😂😂

A work truck for the working man who unironically cannot afford this truck.

When I see this truck I think of $26k. Not with fees and taxes almost $50k. That is insane. Paying $1000 a month for this truck for a half decade.

45K for a base bare bones F 150 is insane! That cant be justified.

Destination charge is bull shit . That shouldn’t be my problem to pay. . Destination charge should only apply when I walk in and place an order for a vehicle with my specific specs. . If it’s already sitting at the lot then I didn’t request that vehicle to be brought in that’s the dealers problem

I actually always liked these base specs. Its refreshing to see, although they've gotten quite expensive

They have gone insane. It looks like a $24K truck just by appearance. Dealer in my area was selling 2019 XLT regular cab 8 ft bed with the 5 liter V8 for $26K out the door in late 2019 to make way for the 2020 models. I thought about buying but passed because I really did not need a new truck. In hindsight it was a cannot afford to not buy situation. In 2006 I paid $26K out the door for a new Lariat extended cab with 6 foot bed 5.4 V8 leather seats, auto HVAC, in dash 6 disc, factory spray in bed liner, etc. Granted, that was near 20 years ago but a similar truck is now near 3 times the price. The Raptor R is a bargain when compared to this one in terms of what you get for the money.

You should buy a single cab short bed F150 and do a build on it (either off road or slammed)

My dealer has a few F-150 STXs in the low 30s, $30k-$33k. Cheaper than the XLs.

Around 10 years ago you could buy a limited trim ford edge for that sticker price! Its insane how prices have gotten up

My 1980 F-100 custom was the cheapest version you could get when my dad bought it new. He paid 5k for it in 1980. Granted my truck is manual everything too. Wish that was still an option these days. Manual brakes, steering, and transmission is nice in my opinion.

I’m blown away that the XL gets that huge screen and digital dash! That’s crazy 😮

I’d like to see a base regular cab build on your channel. Little different than your normal

I want to see that truck tricked out to the max! It would definitely be a good project truck for anyone wanting to get into owning a truck but can't afford the higher end packages.

Part of the price increases is those screens in the truck. I see the XL now comes standard with power windows, mirrors and door locks, which it didn't previously.

Thank you for reviewing the base model. It’s nice to see what they look like instead of always seeing top of the line.

The most expensive “normal f150” is going to be the limited f150
