I wanted the mule SX but it was too wide for the occasional trail rides on the 50"MAX width trails we like to ride, we bought a Pioneer 500, 50" wide, made by HONDA and NO BELT I love the manual/auto trans option and the paddle shifters which also sort of force you keep your hands at 10 and 2 positions LOL.
With the added front locking diff the P500 is an unstoppable tiny tank.

I’ve owned many different ATV/UTV brands over the years. I’ve owned a 2017 CFMoto UForce 800 since 2017, that I use for working around my property, hunting and trail riding. My CFMoto has been a great machine. For the price, performance, reliability and standard options that do not come on the name brand machines, I would absolutely turn to CFMoto again for future machines.

I've been out of the ATV game for 16 years. This video is so helpful. Thank you for reducing my sticker shock! 😎

I got a Cub Cadet challenger 500 which is built by Hisun. Epic POS. I didn't know when I bought it that it was made by Hisun, I assumed it was a Cub Cadet engineered and manufactured Piece of equipment. Worst of all, because it has Cub Cadet stickers it was more expensive that the same machine from Cabela's or Tractor Supply or probably Wal-mart for that matter.

The Kawasaki Mule comes in 4x4 for just a few more dollars I have a 2019 SX 4x4 with a carburetor non FI and all I have done to it is change the oil and do an inspection ever year no defects so far. It is now 2021 so 3 years and still runs like new!

Just bout my 2019 textron prowler pro xt while they had a sale last month. 12, 999 and I got it for 9, 500. Love it so far. Extremely quiet and goes everywhere. I recommend it.

Why not include KYMCO? The Prowler 500 you listed is actually the KYMCO UXV 450 and is $500 less from KYMCO. They also have a larger UXV 500 for $8299 and a 700 for $8999. KYMCO builds every Arctic Cat/Textron ATV from 50cc-450cc, the Prowler 500 and one if their 700cc engines. They also build the Kawasaki KFX 50, KFX 90, and Bruitforce 300. They build engines for BMW, including the extended range motor for the BMW I3 car. They are not an off brand. They probably have more ATV dealers than Textron/Arctic Cat.

I would love to see a video of "the other guys". I bought 2 CFMoto's this year and love them. Great value, great warranty and they've been excellent so far.

I'd go with honda or kawasaki just based off of reliability which is what you want for a machine made to work

I've been looking at side by sides for my farm. What I have noticed at the dealerships I've been to, is exactly what I see here in these comments. People have many different uses for them. I actually want a UTV for helping do work and not something like a Rzr or General for trail riding. One Polaris dealer I went to, the sales guy just couldn't understand why I didn't want a machine to trail ride on for fun. Sorry man...that stuff just don't interest me. What interests me is if I can fit my chain saw, gas container, tools, and wood in the back bed of it. Is it going to be dependable or a POS that lets me down when I need it most. I'd pick one machine and he'd try to counter it with something like "well that one only tops out at 45 mph...this one over here is faster". Well yeah...that one don't even have a dump bed on it and not even what I've told you I'm in the market for. Needless to say I had $12k and was ready to buy that day, and he ticked me off so bad I just left. How do the Kubota's rank in comparison to these? The 400 and 500 size of those are in the same ball park price as these....and the accessories are cheaper. The Kubota dealer I went to, priced me a 500 series with a roof, front and back wind shields, for $10, 200 out the door. The Polaris dealer wanted that for a 570 Ranger without any accessories.

Those prices sound good until you add doors, windshield, Winch. The price went from 9k to 12k quickly.

The Kawasaki Mule should be called "The Goat" because it can go *anywhere* . I've had mine for 8 years; only oil changes. It will haul 2 adults and 400 lbs in the bed up the steepest trail. Only had to engage 4 wheel drive a couple of times in 8 years.

Love my pioneer 1000 its more expensive but it's worth it for the towing and I can have more fun trail riding instead of being locked to around 30-40 in my Rubicon and being able to switch modes for riding is awesome
