Does This Verse PROVE That Jesus Actually Lied?

Did Jesus lie? Some skeptics will point to a particular verse in the gospels where, on the surface, it appears as though Jesus lied. However, in this video I will hopefully suggest that this verse is heavily misunderstood.

If Jesus is the way, the TRUTH and the life, how could he have actually lied at some point during his earthly ministry? This video will explain the importance of correct biblical interpretation and how to understand this passage.

You have to be astonished sometimes as a Christian with the amount of energy people pour into trying to discredit God…

Great work brother Allen

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

He wasn't lying he just said he wasn't going to go at the time.
He said my time has not yet come not my time has not come.yet is the key word here.

The skeptics and even some Christians will look for ways to find faults at Jesus' words or the Bible even when there is nothing to fuss about. Keep on teaching the truth brother.

“I cannot go (with you)” that’s the clear context. People that are lost think lies are in language. Lies are not in language. They are within the intent of the heart and mind.

7:19 - “Let the scriptures that ARE clear help you understand the scriptures that are NOT clear.” Amen!

In other words, we ought to let the Bible interpret itself.

It depends on what Bible you read I personally don’t. Believe He lied . He died for our sin that’s more than enough for me to believe in Him Amen 🙏🏻

I had a horrible habit of getting frustrated and saying there was so many contradicting things on salvation etc when really I just wasn’t understanding. We have to remember this was written two thousand years ago and has to be translated.

Jesus never lies, I don't care what anyone says about that.

Reminds me of the scribes and pharisees trying to find error to discredit so as not to except Jesus. Great job!

I was in a Bible study in which they taught “Jesus lied, lying is okay, ” please be cautious, believers!

Thank you for breaking this down. I know Jesus never sinned. But some Christians or Non-Christians will have doubts and confusion. I’m sure this should clear it up for everyone.

Thank you for this, Brother Allen. As soon as I saw the title I realized which passage you'd be speaking of. I'm a believer, but I've often wondered about this passage. NOT because I thought Jesus lied, but because I wasn't fully understanding it. I do appreciate your clarification. :)

Another thing to note: quite often if a skeptic is proudly waving around a claim like this (i.e. "See, Jesus lied!" or something similar), they're likely not wanting to hear correction.
Quite often if someone shoves something like this in my face and I start to give a response, they *do not want to hear it*.
Research doesn't matter to them, truth doesn't matter to them, and someone wanting to sit down and say "Are you sure it says that?" is the last thing they want to hear.

If you run into someone like this, remember: it's not a head problem: it's a heart problem.
Pray for them: Jesus could save even me, so they're not beyond His reach.
And by all means, if they *are* open to correction, be willing to offer it or at least point them in the right direction. (sometimes it's just misdirection to avoid focusing on the meat of the matter: the cross, and what it means - i.e. that we're guilty, we need to repent of sin and trust Him, and that He loves us in spite of our sin)

Keep up the great work!

He is the truth.
He didn't go with them.

He told them he couldn't go with them.
And he didn't
But went later in secret.

He was gaining popularity,
And some specific people where gunning for him.

So he simply made another way for himself.
he crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven

John the Baptist made a path straight for the lord.

But Jesus created John

Very truly I tell you, ” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Only Jesus Christ the father and holy spirit walk in the same shoes.

They make ways for themselves according to their will.
True face of the father is reserved for the only begotten son

Jesus Christ came from glory to die for the sins of mankind

A lot of debates are impossible to understand until you begin to understand who you are in Christ.

Takes asking Jesus Christ sincerely to be your savior and Repenting.
Reading the gospel

Jesus Christ is the best.
He's loved me and forgiven me for so much
