I’m no expert
Never even flew a plane but I have a I think smarter idea for better approaches

So line with the runway about a mile 1/2 back
No matter the plane
Decend from 5000ft to about 450ft close to landing
When you land, if your not centerline
Use left/right rudder to redirect the aircraft back to centerline and right before touchdown, flare the aircraft up 10-15 degrees upwards to land smoother
And ofc the usual
