Congratulations. I remember my solo flight, you will never forget it. You looked so happy on take off, the minute the wheels left the ground, you truly became a pilot. Keep flying and good luck with the rest of your training.

I took my solo flight in a 150 on July 20, 1969. One in the morning and one in the late afternoon. That evening I watched the Apollo astronauts first moon landing. Will never forget that day and that happy coincidence.

Thank you all so much for all the positive comments - they mean a lot! It was a huge day for me.
Regarding the hair ! :D - Guess we all have our tics when we are nervous, and touching my hair is obviously one of mine! (Something I learnt watching my flight on tape! ) But guess what? I WAS !
Sending lots of love and positive vibes <3

Such a pretty smile!
She made the scenery inside the plane as enjoyable as anything outside! Congrats on your solo as well!
She looks so excited to be flying on her own!!

I remember when I went on my first solo. I could see it in your face. Your thinking "Holly shit, Im actually up her by myself with no instructor" feel like you can accomplish anything. Well done, nice landing!!

I know why this has 1.5mil views and it isn't because of any Cessna 150

I loved this. Took me back 30 years to my first solo at Bristol. I felt your elation! Thank you!

I remember my first solo...Cessna 172....I wasn't nervous about flying it...more nervous about making the decision to solo. Once I started taxiing I found myself doing the same things I been doing for months....the plane was a passenger lighter so it took off earlier and reached pattern altitude earlier....greased the landing...flipped up my microphone away from my mouth and yelled out: "YESSS!!!"

I am having my first test flight tomorrow morning! Watching this got me amped. It's exciting to see women in aviation. "If she can see it, she can be it!" Thanks for posting this!!!

I remember as a white knuckled “yoke choker”, pranging a 150 back up to 500 feet. Loved those little kites. They just loved to fly and tried to keep doing so, and so forgiving. My Adrenaline was up for 3 or more days after my solo! Thanks for the memories “Sky Queen”!! Many happy and safe flights to you! Love your video. Thanks!!

It was enjoyable to see your smile on moment when you've been let go so to speak. I remember that feeling on my first solo😀

I don't know what the tradition is in Sweden, but in the USA, when a commercial aviation student makes their first solo, the instructor cuts the back and tail of their shirt off, writes the date and time, and the number of hours of lessons the student has had prior to solo, and hangs the shirt piece up in the airport for all to see. Obviously, from the shirt Solveig is wearing, that tradition is different in Sweden. It is still a great milestone, and she has joined a very exclusive club of people who have actually flown and landed an aircraft all by themselves. Congratulations (even if this is a year and a half later)!

I shared this video with my 2 daughters so they understand there is nothing they can't do. Thanks for inspiring them!

2:36 you look at the empty seat next to you and suddenly, it's real... I remember doing that 40 odd years ago on my 1st solo. Congrats!
