You get this if you want the best motion clarity. But you would need another 500hz on top of those 500 to mimic what a CRT can do at 60. They need to spend more time and resources into black frame insertion .

Seems to me like this panel needs backlight strobing and tunable Overdrive to be really awesome.

i have the alienware 1080p 360hz monitor and i love this monitor, i can't even tell the difference between 240hz and 360hz so 500hz is overkill. but yeah 144hz and 240hz is a BIG difference imo

I'm going to this from a 120hz monitor. It doesn't have to be perfect if it's "as good" as a 360hz it's still better since rn it's 1$ per hz rn 500$

AW2523HF sure the price is good but 75 watts in power consumption is a dealbreaker, that's the same crazy amount most QDoleds uses.
Good monitors now days should be bellow 40 watts.

I had a 280hz 1920x1080 TN panel. But now im on 3440x1440 180hz fast va panel and m considering buying this panel instead. But would love to see the image quality scharpness in game.

This is why I'll wait till they make a high speed OLED. I have both the 360 Hz and the AW3432DW (The OLED) and I personally prefer the OLED and use it the most. Then again it does have one of the best color spaces for a monitor in existence. Pixel response/speeds are a non-issue.

Fast forward to Jan 2025 and Dell have slashed the price of this to around just $100 more than the 2523 and….they have discontinued the 2523! Guess they realised that this one wasn’t worth the price tag but since it is technically better than the cheaper model they have binned the 2523

Hmm can get a alienware 27 inch 1080p 360hz for only 40 bucks cheaper than this one. The 500hz one is on sale. Which one is more worth it?

It should have two HDMI 2.1 ports, not 2.0. Also, it's missing a headphone jack.
Ghosting on a 500Hz monitor is a deal-breaker.

hello i had a question i have the monitor but when i put the displayport cable in the display port in the monitor in the display settings it only reaches 255 hz? i have a 2070 rtx geforce anyone know why this happens and why i cant go up click the 500hz choice in the display settings??

The 360 hz alienware monitor doesn't have gsync. I just picked this up for $599 because it's only $150 more than the 360 hz. No chance I would pay the MSRP of $829
