I met my dear friend, Dr. Dilshad Atwal, on my first day of college, and we hit it off right away. All these years later I invited him over to check out some new funny medical memes! There was a lot of good stuff in here, including the difference between cardio and weight lifting, COVID masks causing acne, vitamin gummies, pain management (Dilshad’s specialty), vaccines, and our never-ending struggle to get enough sleep!

I fractured my foot in two places a few years ago, and I sent my dad, who's a doctor, a photo asking for his opinion and if I should get an x-ray (I didn't immediately know it was broken), and his advice was: just walk it off. Luckily my mom, who's a nurse and who came and picked me up and took me to a clinic, because at this point I couldn't weight bare, took one look at it and said: you need x-rays, ignore your father, he's being stupid 😂

Oh my gosh...the meme about having a family member in the medical field is so true! My mom has been an RN for over 50 years. Unless we had a broken bone or were bleeding profusely, we didn't need to go to the ER.

My mum was an intensive care nurse. Once my sister almost dislocated her elbow in p.e. Class. We were sent early home so my sister could be taken to hospital, my mum looked at her arm and said… it is not dislocated, I will take you to be seen after the telenovela 🤭
