Sex Chromosomes

When you were at school there is a good chance you learned that when it comes to human biological sex, two X sex chromosomes produces a female and one X sex chromosome and one Y sex chromosome produces a male. The thing is, that explanation, like so much taught at school, is a simplification based on the level of understanding a child can be expected to grasp. It’s nowhere near the full story, and no real biologist at all thinks that it is.

So what is the biological reality?

These comments made me lose faith in humanity. Imaging saying that science prove you right but when someone with actual sources (=other that "i learled it in middle school") proves that actually, science is not even on your side, you start to aggressively crap yourself out of rage and try to find lies that proves that truth is wrong and that you are right instead of just admitting that you are hateful for no reason

Arent these non XY / XX cases extremely rare and full of negative health consequences?

Edit: I would assume instances of the color brown in nature (as in your example) are far more common than someone being outside the standard chromosome configuration. I do not mean to disparage people outside this norm but, you are insinuating this is far more common than it is.

Red-haired people appear in known populations in Europe far more common than 1.7%. While there is no group of people with higher than normal non-standard chromosome distribution, because if it did (as you responded to another comment) the people would become sterile. Red-hair is not an equivalent to the lifelong health impairments of these chromosome misconfigurations. Again I mean no disrespect to people dealing with these issues, but most if not all people functioning in our society at the full capacity do not have any of these non-standard configurations and would if they could ensure non of their kids have it.

What is the point in stressing about these outliers, with things like CRISPR these variations will be removed entirely from populations that can afford to, because it serves no evolutionary benefit (at the moment). Sorry if I offended someone but, I cant see any lie in my words. please do not crucify me.
