After 44 years of marriage and raising a family of young men who have rejected everything you taught them, everything they LIVED….all you’ve got at the end of the day is your wife or husband. Starting over is not really an option. Too much history, too much pain, joy and just knowing each other. Really, guys….who EXACTLY do you think will be taking care of you in your old age? Not some new, money grubbing flirty girl with her own history of brokenness, angry kids and financial wreckage. Same for we ‘seasoned wives’. There’s no going anywhere else when you’re into your 60’s. The remedy??? Be KIND. Be GRATEFUL for your blessings you’ve built together. Time gets very short you know! Forgive the past, DECIDE to care again and mostly just find the young person you married and go have some FUN together again.
