This looks amazing, I love adobo, my late dad being from the Islands use to make both pork and chicken. I've been a vegetarian/vegan for 14 yrs. now and have been craving Adobo! Will be trying this recipe SOON!! Thank you..

Looks delicious! My boyfriend's family is part Mexican and part Filipino, hence I've been quite inspired by the Filipino cuisine. I want to try making vegan chicken adobo--the soy curls are the BEST. I love them for cooking as a meat substitute!

Thanks for putting this out. I’m not filo but my daughters dad side is and it’s hard going to family gatherings were they try feed her pork and heavy base meat dishes and they don’t understand when I say sorry no meat . So I’m glad I can make her dishes from her culture to bring to family get togethers and so grows up with dishes from her culture .

this is so cute and mama is explaining so well. love that her daughter is showing to the world her mom’s skills. so cute when her mom was trying to explain “browning” of garlic when sautéing and daughter thought she was saying to fry the garlic 😂😂❤️❤️

Chicken adobo used to be one of my favorite meals! My hubbie's mom is from the Philippines and used to make it for me. I started making it with beans instead when I went vegan, but this recipe looks amazing, and I can't wait to try it!! We add coconut milk to ours, but I see you intensionally avoid any possibility of coconut flavor. Thanks for sharing! So fun!!

Looks yummy! So nice to see a vegan adobo family recipe. Adobo is always different family to family. We make it with fried tofu, ginger, garlic, shoyu, acv, bay leaf and peppercorns (no onions or sugar). Your mom is so cute btw. ☺️

I’m beginning to introduce my two year old to Filipino foods, and I’m glad I found this channel since we started out vegan when she was a baby, stopped for a while and was advised by the doctor that it’s fine to have a vegan toddler now. I want my Lizzy to enjoy the Filipino dishes I grew up eating when I was in the Philippines, but the vegan version. Thank you again!

I made this yesterday for my friend and I and we really enjoyed it! I’d say to make sure your stove is medium to low when you add garlic... Accidentally burnt it on medium heat. Our stove gets pretty hot on medium heat.
