Heritage laws at odds with land rights

Sky News host Peta Credlin says a Victorian businessman, Murray Allan, had his rights curtailed by the Daniel Andrews government.

This move was done under the guise of protecting so-called indigenous cultural heritage.

Mr Allan aimed to develop a caravan park on his land near Lake Tyrrell and was granted a permit in 2017 without local objections.

Yet, in 2021, his project was halted by the state government over claims of building on a culturally sensitive area.

This decision was made despite the absence of any indigenous artifacts discovered on the site, as noted in official reports.

Hello Peta with regard to WA aboriginal heritage act the cook government tried to put app the people 3:41
Up on most of the mines up north they have a group of indigenous people that have to sign off on any new land to be mined
Now with regard to the caves that got destroyed
The group signed off that that area was good to blow up and then after it was blown up someone came out and said You blew up my
Sacred caves and this was the impatass for the government to act
I would say this was actually a government setup to help push their agenda and if we had a proper media like we use too before they were Bought off this may have been investigated more and the government would have been found out

So what if an artefact was found. Take the artefact off the land then let him do what he wants with HIS own land! As far as I am concerned using the words artefact and aboriginal together is an oxymoron anyway!

Next please find out what's going on with gold mining approvals in Victoria. Daniel Andrews is allowing drilling and exploration- but aboriginal councils are freezing all works at mining stage.
