So to explain, these lip plates mean the beauty and commitment of a woman. The bigger the plate, the more beautiful the woman is and committed to their relationship. The way they put these plates on is to poke a hole through the lip and put a small ornament in. This stretches the lip while it heals over time. Then when the lip is big enough, they will start putting the plates in, and as the lip stretches out even more, bigger plates are inserted.
