How I wish every doctor spoke like Dr. Wong! He is obviously friendly and compassionate with a twinkle of humor in his eyes. I am very grateful for this video as I am possibly facing cataract surgery.

I had cataract surgery one month ago with one eye and two weeks with the other. The surgery went well. I can now see without glasses. Dryness is a concern. My complaint is the lack of communication and information concerning the aftercare. I learned more from your video than what I received.

I just had my cataract surgery in one eye, and I totally agree. There is no communication for such a major surgery. There is no excuse for that they act like they don’t have time to answer any questions. Pretty sad.

I just had refractive lens replacement on my right eye yesterday. The Lens is a PanOptix Multifocal lens. Yesterday everything was very blurry and my eyes were still dilated a lot. Today my vision was 20/20 with my follow up, but still blurry. As the day went on, my vision has gotten better. Right now my vision is around 95% clear - I can see everything but still a bit blurry. Zero pain, eyes are not dry, no itching, and procedure was painless. I am going in next week for my left eye. With the PanOptix I can see close, mid, and far with no more glasses - ever. So far I am very happy. When my vision clears up I will be so happy! Thanks for all of your amazing videos - they have helped so much!

Excellent video. This should be mandatory viewing for anyone considering cataract surgery. Good way to ease a lot of peoples anxiety, including my own. Thank you.

Hi hi, I was born with cataracts and finally got the cataract in my right eye removed after 24 years. I was so scared but the surgery was so quick and easy and I haven’t felt any pain! But WOWOWOW for the first time in my life I can see COLOR!! Blues and reds are very impressive. My vision is so much clearer than it has ever been. I’m super happy and can’t wait to get my other eye done now!

I love doctors like this that makes you feel good and calm about surgery. Very good bed side manner. Your encouraging words help so many.

I live in the UK, and last May had cataracts removed plus lens implanted on the NHS. After wearing glasses for chronic short-sightedness for fifty+ years, I have better sight than ever, and only use glasses for reading. The painless procedure took two hours, and after tea and biscuits went home wearing eye shields, removed the next day. I used eye drops for four weeks. Funny that clothes bought in recent years aren't the colour I thought they were!

I went with monofocal lens. Night driving (age 72) good dim light vision and great contrast and distance sharpness was more important to me than getting rid of readers. There are negatives to all multi-focal lenses.

Thank you Dr. Wong. I was scared and anxious before my cataract surgery. After watching your video my fears were greatly reduced. Although I went to a different doctor the procedures were almost exactly as you described. My anxiety levels were way down thanks to you. I really appreciate your excellent videos.

Brother, you covered everything clearly and meticulously, with perfect graphics, charts, and charismatic scenes: pull-ups, sitting as a patient in chair, and your black & white avatar looks like a boxer about to fight. Excellent coverage of everything. I just watched some of your vids because I’m going to need the cataract surgery, at 66 now.

I wish I would have seen this before I had my cataract surgery two days ago. The instructions I was given along with the written papers or somewhat confusing but this was so clear and to the point I think this video should be shown in every waiting room so that patients get the straight information and they get it clearly. If you go in and have your cataract removed and you have any kind of problem like mine was then you're not feeling so great when you come out and you're not listening to everything that's been told to you but you because you've got a little pain going on there.
This was phenomenal thank you

I had RLE (refractive lens exchange) two weeks ago. This surgery was to correct my vision & now I will never get cataracts. Best surgery ever! I can see the smallest print now…no more reader glasses! I’m thrilled with my outcome & have told everyone about it.

I'm very happy to say that my first cataract surgery, done yesterday (Sept. 16, 2022), went very smoothly---and the ophthalmic surgeon, because he's servicing an area that isn't known for wealth, charges only $1, 475 per eye, of which 80% is covered by my primary health insurance, and then some of it by my secondary insurance.
Next surgery is in two months, and I'm looking forward to having full, clear vision once again, without having had to break the bank.
