Exactly what I was looking for! Love my SFD! Learning so much! And yes, I’ve changed measurements, so I’m glad for using the vellum. You are so knowledgeable! Thank you for sharing your expertise!

This was just what I was looking for. I have been slowly drafting my first (short) pant, as I am searching for my form, and I do not want to waste fabric on long pants (YET) :) I had the idea of elastic at just the back, but being a newbie I had no idea how I would go about it. So now I can avoid a zipper and fasteners. So glad about that. Test pair will be made out of Calico, then I will be looking for a very comfortable on the skin fabric. I love this series. Thank you for making it.

I have just started watching your vdos. I love them! I love how you are detail oriented in your explanations and the demonstration is awesome!. I am s novice sower and I am learning sooo much. The finishing on the clothing I get with your tips is very professional. Thank you and please keep posting more. Do you have any sew along vdos?? Would love to have those.

I'm making your SFD pull-on pants right now. I love your courses. How would one draft these flat-front elasticated back pants? I'm guessing I leave the front blueprint as is but how do I widen the back enough? Thanks!

I have a sway back and like elastic at the sides of the waistband in a ready to wear pair of pants I have. Are there any particular rules as to where the elastic is fitted in this instance. I assume the basic principle is otherwise as this video shows. I would like to try to make a pair of pants with side elastic so it looks like I am going to be buying the SFD pants kit to join the dress kit my husband has bought me for Xmas this year. Thank you Glenda.

So I was wondering do you leave off back darts to allow fabric to gather in the elastic? What if you have a printed pattern that you would like to change to use back elastic, do you add inches to sides to get them over your hips? I am a pear, but like back elastic due to smaller waist. Thank you!
