Thank you so much. I did not know the reason for cutting straight clips, or notching. I am really glad I am watching this beginning series, there is so much information in here. Very, very good video, I am enjoying the series.

Very informative demonstration. I love the idea of using masking tape as a guide, I never thought of that.

Thank you. Can you also show how to do rolled hem on a very curved outer edge, like on a flounce (example: on a Spanish Flamingo dance skirt)?

It took me a few videos to understand what was meant by sewing with the needle in the down position...that when one stops sewing, the needle is in the down position. My machine doesn’t have this option, I wish it did, having to stop and lower the needle by rotating the wheel is a pain.
My machine isn’t computerized, so the other thing that gets mentioned sometimes is to reduce the stitching length from say 2.5mm to just have a wheel with visual stitch lengths, not measurements.

Excellent tutorials, I’ll just make do with what I’ve got for now!

never knew what grading is this is very helpful. so I have a question if someone could answer it. what happens if you have to make adjustments you've already done the grading and the clipping or the notching

Will it still lie flat if you notched the inner corner instead of clipping? Or do I need to redo the piece?
