Greenland is a 2020 American disaster film directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Chris Sparling. The film stars Gerard Butler (who also co-produced), Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn, David Denman, and Hope Davis. The film follows a family who must fight for survival as a planet-destroying comet races to Earth

I was SERIOUSLY impressed by how freaking well the AUDIO was made in this movie. Never have seen any movie where the audio was so believable and especially the gun shots were so super realistic it should be the definition of immersion.

The filmmakers really did a great job with the build up of this movie and it's one of the best beginnings of a movie in disaster film. The realistic approach is really what makes this terrifying and disturbing and Gerard Butler sells it with his fantastic performance, the confusion and fear in his face when he's in the market with his son and seeing the military moving out and knows that something bad is going to happen with this comet!

This was my worst nightmare as a kid, I had premonitions from age 5 -12 of a meteor strike and losing everyone I knew.
I distinctly remember being at my 7th birthday party and unable to feel happy because of this vivid visual in my head but unable to tell anyone what was wrong.

I was watching this in a movie-like setting, curtains down, very low lighting, and complete silence except for the movie, and it made this scene so much more surreal and tense. Great start to this movie
